MARINATED SHRIMP DIABLO
The Story
The perfect steak doesn’t appeal to everyone, so we created this recipe as an alternative recipe for our pescatarian friends, and it. was. a. HIT! We ended up having to make more, since our beef-loving friends enjoyed having Shrimp Diablo with their steaks.
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
-
1 lb./20-25 Shrimp
-
3 Cloves Garlic, Crushed
-
1/4 tsp. Smoked Paprika
-
1/4 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
-
2 tbsp. Olive Oil
-
Salt to Taste
Accompaniment & Sides:
Grill some veggies along with the shrimp for a quick and easy dinner. Place a couple of shrimp on a skewer and serve as an appetizer. If you are grilling using wooden skewers, be sure to soak the skewers in water first to prevent burning.
Quad® Setup:
Full chimney of coal, hot fire, Quad® with the grill in place. A perforated pan helps with smaller shrimp. No dome.
Directions:
-
Peel and de-vein shrimp (leave tails on). Place all ingredients in a sealable plastic bag & let sit for an hour to marinate.
-
Remove shrimp from plastic bag & place shrimp on the heated Quad® Grill. Be sure to turn often, as shrimp cooks quickly.
-
The shrimp will turn pink when done. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp; shrimp will continue to cook after taking them from the grill.
(Note: if you are using very large (10-15 or U - 10) shrimp with the head and shell on, you will need to marinate for several hours.)
